FAQs

There is no dress code. Plan to wear casual or business-casual attire—whichever you prefer. Keep in mind that it will be hot outside (average temperatures are around 85 degrees Fahrenheit), but the school is air-conditioned, so consider wearing light pants and a short-sleeve shirt, and bringing a light jacket or sweater.

Consider both professional needs and comfort in warmer weather. Here's a checklist of essentials:

  • Clothing: Pack casual or business-casual attire, like lightweight and breathable outfits (e.g., dress shirts, blouses, jeans, skirts, or dresses); comfortable shoes for walking; "going out" attire, like tank tops, shorts, and sandals; and consider bringing clothes you can layer, like a light sweater or jacket to put on in air-conditioned spaces.
  • Conference Essentials: Bring a notebook and pens and/or a laptop or tablet. Consider bringing business cards for networking, and don't forget chargers for your devices!
  • Personal Care Items: Bring a reusable water bottle—there will be filling stations at the school! Consider bringing sunscreen and hand sanitizer.
  • Other Essentials: Sunglasses, a hat, an umbrella, snacks, and even a portable fan are all items you may want to bring!

Bring your reusable water bottle, something to facilitate note-taking (like a pad of paper and pen or a laptop), an open mind, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn!
